Cover up to £2,500 total sum insured for kitchen appliances at any one property and up to £500 any one claim for appliances up to 12 years old (appliances 12 years and older = £250 any one claim). Landlords are legally required to get all the gas appliances and flues in their residential property portfolio checked every year and provided with a Gas Safety certificate (CP12). This gas safety check must be undertaken by a properly-qualified engineer - i.e. one who is on the gas safe register.
